This page explains what cookies and similar technologies may be used on the institutional site and the platform. The institutional site only uses non-essential cookies (statistics) if you give your consent.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on the device that allow, for example, keeping a session open or remembering preferences. There are also similar technologies, such as browser local storage.

2. Essential cookies

Required for the basic operation of the site and platform (for example, session and security). Without these, the service may not work correctly. They include the “schoop_consent” cookie, which remembers your cookie choice for 12 months. They do not depend on consent.

3. Analytics cookies

They help us understand how the site is used and improve it, and are only enabled with your consent. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.; “_ga” and “_ga_*” cookies, valid for 2 years; no advertising signals; usage data is kept for up to 14 months) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.; “_clck” and “_clsk” cookies, valid for up to 1 year, plus anonymous session recordings and heatmaps, kept for 30 days, with form field content masked). These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards.

4. Preference cookies

They store user choices, such as the selected language, to improve the experience on later visits.

5. Third-party cookies

Apart from the statistics tools above, and only with consent, the institutional site does not embed third-party content (for example, videos or maps) that sets cookies. When a form is submitted, the data is sent to a form-processing provider that handles it on Schoop’s behalf.

6. Consent management

On your first visit a notice lets you accept all, decline optional cookies or customise by category. You can change your choice at any time through the “Manage cookies” link in the site footer. Declining is as easy as accepting.
