Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how personal data collected through the Schoop institutional site and, where applicable, the platform is processed.
1. Data controller
The data controller is the entity that operates Schoop, reachable at ola@schoop.pt. The full identification of the controller (legal name, tax number and registered office) will be published on this page.
2. Data collected
- Contact details submitted in the forms (name, email, school/organisation, role, phone where given).
- The content of messages and notes sent.
- Minimal technical data for the site to function (for example, server logs).
- Where applicable, platform usage data associated with the school’s accounts.
3. Purposes
- Responding to contact, commercial, partnership or institutional requests.
- Checking access requests and creating the school’s organisation and dedicated access.
- Providing, maintaining and improving the service.
- Complying with applicable legal obligations.
4. Legal basis
- Pre-contractual steps and performance of a contract, for access requests and use of the platform.
- Legitimate interest, for responding to general contacts.
- Consent, where expressly requested.
- Compliance with a legal obligation, where applicable.
5. Retention
Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or for the applicable legal period. After that period, the data is deleted or anonymised.
6. Recipients and processors
Data may be processed by service providers acting on the controller’s behalf, namely site hosting, email and form-processing services, always subject to confidentiality and security obligations. An up-to-date list of processors can be requested at ola@schoop.pt. Personal data is not sold to third parties.
7. Data subject rights
Data subjects may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out. Requests should be sent to ola@schoop.pt. A complaint may also be lodged with the competent supervisory authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).
8. Security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but the aim is to minimise risks and respond diligently to incidents.
9. Minors
The school’s organisation in Schoop is created by an authorised member of school staff (leadership, teacher, coordinator or lead). Students do not create the organisation — they take part through access granted and managed by the school. It is not intended for collecting data directly from minors outside this framework.
10. Contact
For any question about this policy or the processing of data: ola@schoop.pt.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date of the last update.
The full identification of the controlling entity will be published on this page. This policy does not constitute legal advice.
