Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how personal data collected through the Schoop institutional site and, where applicable, the platform is processed.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Gonçalo Amaro Vitorino, Portuguese tax number (NIF) 256357420, registered at Rua dos Bombeiros Voluntários 13, RC DTO, 2520-410 Peniche, Portugal, reachable at privacidade@novacamada.pt.

2. Data collected

• Contact details submitted in the forms (name, email, school/organisation, role, phone where given).
• The content of messages and notes sent.
• Site usage data (pages visited, device, referral source, interactions and anonymous session recordings), collected through statistics cookies only if you give your consent.
• Minimal technical data for the site to function (for example, server logs).
• Where applicable, platform usage data associated with the school’s accounts.

3. Purposes

• Responding to contact, commercial, partnership or institutional requests.
• Checking access requests and creating the school’s organisation and dedicated access.
• Providing, maintaining and improving the service.
• Understanding, in aggregate, how the site is used and improving it (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, with consent).
• Complying with applicable legal obligations.

4. Legal basis

• Pre-contractual steps and performance of a contract, for access requests and use of the platform.
• Legitimate interest, for responding to general contacts.
• Consent, where expressly requested and for statistics cookies (it can be withdrawn at any time via “Manage cookies” in the footer).
• Compliance with a legal obligation, where applicable.

5. Retention

Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or for the applicable legal period. After that period, the data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Recipients and processors

Data may be processed by service providers acting on the controller’s behalf, namely site hosting, email and form-processing services, always subject to confidentiality and security obligations. An up-to-date list of processors can be requested at privacidade@novacamada.pt. With your consent, site usage data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4) and Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. (Clarity), which may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Personal data is not sold to third parties.

7. Data subject rights

Data subjects may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out. Requests should be sent to privacidade@novacamada.pt. A complaint may also be lodged with the competent supervisory authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

8. Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No system is completely secure, but the aim is to minimise risks and respond diligently to incidents.

9. Minors

The school’s organisation in Schoop is created by an authorised member of school staff (leadership, teacher, coordinator or lead). Students do not create the organisation — they take part through access granted and managed by the school. It is not intended for collecting data directly from minors outside this framework.
